The forms are collected daily and delivered directly to the Management Team, so it''s a quick and easy way to get the information to us.A Brief History of Monument Park SupersparWe have come a long way since 1979, from a small supermarket to a SPAR in 1996. In 2000 the SPAR was converted to a SUPERSPAR and from October 2010 until July 2012 we gave it a complete makeover. This renovation took 22 months to complete in which we increased our store size  significantly. We first started planning the upgrade in late 2007 and nearly three years later in October 2010 we started renovating the store. More than 45 revisions were made to the architectural layout during the planning and construction phase. The greatest challenge was trading whilst renovating; this required careful planning and management of contractors - the upgrade was divided into 8 phases. New departments were added and existing departments improved. Additionally, we are now one of the most energy efficient stores in South Africa by incorporating energy efficient lights and refrigeration. Rain water capturing, recycling, and natural light in backup areas are green concepts that have also been incorporated.
